Man, I haven't updated this thing in quite some time. My reason? Cherz and I tried to get Textpattern going for the new year, but there were some complications involving the coding, how to implement it into my current site, and, more than any other reason, the code for the actual commenting page somehow ended up getting deleted and replaced with the main page code. I'm thinking of asking Luke for the code off his site and then refit it for my CSS and such. How about it Lukecifer?
Otherwise, I've been preoccuped by a great many things in the last two months. My schedule this semester is a bit strange, with most of my classes being at night. I work everyday but Friday, and when I'm not in class, at work, or eating, I've been jetting down to the folks'. They recently had all the original 1950's single-pane windows on the front of their house replaced, and the new windows have a nice wood trim that will eventually match the wood floor. I've been hired to hand-sand, seal, stain, and finish all of them, only they're mostly pine, which is about as easy to stain as the Atlantic Ocean is to swim across. The process has been tedious, but rewarding. Aside from some odd white marks that we guessed were a result of either chemicals conflicting or material that's passed its best-by date, everything is starting to look outstanding. I'm pleased, overall. I've been putting the Notocactus under my desk lamp on the windowsill facing southwest to keep it warm and well-exposed to light. It seems to have stopped decaying from the base up, and is looking a bit more green than before, so I'm hoping it's on the mend. Send some good vibes its way.
