It feels like I've lived more in the last two years than I had lived in the previous ten. The last six months, in particular, have been quite interesting.
This evening I was preparing some snacks after coming home from a nine-hour work day at the folks', installing a variety of wood products to their respective locations in the house. I considered adding an apple to my snack plate, and I picked up the lone remaining apple that sat lazily in my fruit bowl. Inside the thin supermarket bag I'd left it in, a small smudge caught my eye. I looked closer and found it was a ladybug that had long since died, and its decaying body had invited mold to grow all around the area. I thought it was awesome. Sometimes you just have to let yourself lose it. German word of the day: Dschunke (f) - Junk |
